News at Let's Talk, Inc.About Us
Let's Talk, Inc. is a multi-dimensional creative program of inquiry and solutions-based alternatives designed to respond to the immense challenges which threaten the sense of safety and identity of teen girls and women in their formative years.
Studies have proven that by the age of 15, internal and external pressures girls face make them twice as likely as boys to become depressed. This may lead to poor decision-making, aggression, unhealthy eating habits, substance abuse, violence and other fear-based patterns which can place their safety and futures in jeopardy. There can be no denying that our communities are in crisis.
Let's Talk nurtures and empowers teen girls and women by uplifting and educating them on various pro-active techniques for coping and recovery.
- Self-esteem, Social Skills & Cultural Awareness
- Relationship-building & Communication
- Nutritional, Health & Emotional Awareness
- Financial Fitness & Future Career Options
Let's Talk addresses the needs of the whole woman — mind, body and spirit. If one understands the value of one's self within the schematic of the universe, one's spirit cannot be broken.
